Fabio Carbone

Fabio Carbone is a scholar, humanitarian activist, and dedicated ambassador for peace. A scholar of the links among cultural heritage management, tourism, and promotion of peace (SDG+), he presents himself as a convinced supporter of the Sustainable Development Goals.

A professor and researcher at the University of Northampton (UK), he is its contact person at the UNAI – United Nations Academic Impact network. His contributions extend to the academic sphere, with the publication of numerous scientific articles and opinion pieces in several languages.

He is also co-author of the book The Role of Tourism in Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation.

Among Fabio Carbone’s activities, the academic field is joined by that of humanitarian activism in regions afflicted by complex challenges, including Iran, Afghanistan, Ecuador, Bosnia and Serbia. As Ambassador of Peace for the International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT), Fabio Carbone embodies the ideals of peace, compassion and social progress.

His multi-faceted efforts and his single-minded dedication represent a life devoted to improving the world and promoting cooperation among different communities.
