Cristina Gena

Associate Professor Università degli Studi di Torino

Cristina Gena is an associate professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Turin and chair of the Master’s Degree Course in Communication, ICT and Media (CIME).

She is in charge of her department’s robotics and advanced interactions lab and heads the smart HCI lab at the ICxT innovation centre.

She is president of UM Inc., the User Modeling Society, which serves as the steering committee for the ACM conference series ‘User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization’.

She is a member of the editorial board of international scientific journals and has organised several international conferences on the topic of Human-Centered AI, User Modelling and Personalisation, Intelligent User Interfaces.

She has been the scientific coordinator of nationally, regionally and locally funded projects (e.g., funded by the Ministry of University and Research, the Regions of Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta, the City of Turin, etc.) and several consulting and research projects (e.g., funded by Google, Intesa San Paolo, Quercetti, etc.).
